SCI论文写作时态使用注意事项
所谓时态，是指动词的时态。一个句子中最关键的就是动词。因此，要准确表达想法，选择适合的动词并且正确地使用它非常重要。动词是用来形容动作、状态或者事件的，选择什么样的动词直接影响我们要表达的事情。首先，为了让句子表达完整意思并尽量简单，不要将动作、状态或者事件用名词表示(通常是一个名词接一个很弱的动词)，例如，不要写“The treatment produced a significant increase in xxx expression.”，而是改为“The treatment increased xxx expression significantly.”，虽然两句话意思一样，但是后面一句更简单而且表达出treatment增加xxx表达的强烈感，这样的句子更容易给读者留下印象。
以下例举了一些如何将动作、状态或者事件从名词改为动词的方式。
Make an examination of...examine
Present a comparison of...compare
Be in agreement...agree
Perform an analysis of...analyze
Produce an improvement in...improve
更多的例子这里就不写了，大家最好在读paper的时候多留心，会发现很多更生动的词汇给自己的文章增色。
然后我们说说如何正确使用动词时态，在科研论文中，使用时态(过去时、现在时、将来时)的方式和普通写作一样：
过去时用于描述过去发生的事情：做了什么，其他人写过什么，实验中发生了什么等等;
现在时用于描述普遍事实，像是结论(你得出的结论或者别人得出的')或者是非时间性的事实(包括论文涵盖的信息);
把将来时留在延伸部分，比如在数月或数年后要做什么。
通常情况下，论文中的绝大部分语句应该用过去时或者完成时，一些语句用现在时，只有非常少量语句用将来时。

要注意的是一个句子用过去时和用现在时的区别。“The temperature increased linearly over time”表示一个特定的实验结果，而“The temperature increases linearly over time”此句总结了一个实验发现，意味着温度一直在直线上升。在重句中，有时候需要将两种不同的时态结合起来，例如“In 1905, Albert Einstein postulated that the speed of light is constant... ”在这个句子中，postulated是发生在过去的(1905年)因此要用过去时，但是后面一个普遍真理因此用现在时。
总之，英语是有时态的语言，不同的时态表达的意思是不同的，童鞋们在写作自己的SCI论文时候要格外注意语句的时态，这样才能把实验结果表达的更清楚。
